I set up a couple of trap cams on my property trying to find a good location to photograph Jackrabbits. The last thing I expected when reviewing the thousands of images was this big one, Trap cam are good fun

Cattle fence is just a minor annoyance for this bruin.

Trail cam from my property in Southern Oregon. Located in the Walker Creek drainage in the Cascade foothills at an altitude of around 2050 feet.

American Black Bear (Ursus americanus)

I had just left my house heading up to one of my favorite birding locations in the Cascade Mountains, I was rubbing the sleep out of my eyes and changing the radio station when I saw a "large black cow" that was walking funny,.... It was 30 minutes before sunrise and the picture is very poor quality, still it is my favorite picture to date. I find it so cool to see a top level predator only two miles from my house.
