While many landscape photographers spend a lot of time chasing the light, I tend to prefer smaller, intimate subjects in soft or overcast conditions. Although I sometimes wonder if that's just because I live in a wet, cloudy place. Even so, I'm not immune to the charms of the big view, particularly when it looks like this. Not for nothing is Arran known as 'Scotland in Miniature'.
