A stunning male Mourning popped out for a brief moment. Sometimes you just need to be patient and wait, I heard him singing continuously along a busy trail, people walking by watching this crazy person stare at a vegetation along the entrance to a trail with a giant lens, but for a brief moment of quiet he jumped out on this lovely perch and made the wait worth it!

One of the sweetest sounding songs among the Warblers..

I made a number of attempts to find and actually see a Canada Warbler once I learned they were in a certain area. On this particular day I left the house at 5:30 am and was at the site at 6:15 am.

In all my time there this was the only Canada Warbler I saw and he was way up in the canopy and wouldn't come down or even look at me despite my best pishing efforts.

In the end I had to settle for these brief video clips taken towards the back of him and settle for these sound recordings of this beautiful little songster. Nevertheless, I am happy to get even these.
