Anyone remember this song? I couldn't listen to it when I was young without bawling. Still a beautiful song and hasn't lost its magic.

Isn't it every teenage girls dream to ride a horse bareback along the beach? It was mine anyway.
I met two lovely girls, taking it in turns to ride Prince on a hot summers day along the beach at Welshpool. They were letting the horse cool off and enjoy some exercise before competing in horse trials the following day.

We spent 4 wonderful days in snowcovered Moab Utah, On our way to Durango, we detoured via Newspaper Rock and were treated to the glorious sight of a herd of horses wondering through the snow. Their scruffy coats seemed to glow against the white snow. We sat mesmerized in the middle of the road watching them for some time. In this case-"Wild horse could drag me away" into a Man from Snowy River fantasy!

I love Tom Petty and was very sad at his recent passing. I saw him support Bob Dylan 3 x in 1986.
This clip is Kevin Bacon, doing a pretty funny adaption of Free Fallin' by Tom Petty about loving Horses.
"Warning" once you listen to it you wont be able to get it out your head!

It seems like a life- time ago when Victoria and much of Australia was on fire but it was only January when I took this image. The world is looking elsewhere now but our small regional towns, forests and wildlife are still suffering.
You may recall I was staying with a friend in Strathbogie when the emergency warning that a fire was nearby hit our phones. I headed home and just got through before the road was closed. I stopped here to check conditions as the fire was visible in the hills on the other side of the road. The horses were heading for the water trough, no doubt frightened by the smoke.
