From my vantage point I watched an American Dipper do its thing up and down the river .... disappearing under the freezing water, bobbing up, floating along, flitting from rock to rock and disappearing beneath the chilly water, only to resurface down stream. I had my wide angle with me and was content to watch its fascinating behavior.
