This picture was taken just before the sun came up over the Mill Pond in Apalachicola, Florida. It was processed in Photoshop using three different textures from Distressed Textures.

If you like marsh grass Bottoms Road in Panacea is an excellent place to go, especially at sunrise.
Processed in Photoshop and textured with French Kiss Crème Fraiche, and Texture-37 from Lenabem-Anna J’s amazing texture collection.

To me visiting the Mill Pond in Apalachicola is like stepping back in time. I first visited the Mill Pond around the time The Beatles released their first album. This spot is my anchor back to the time I was a carefree boy growing up in a small town.
I processed this in Photoshop from a shot I took several years ago. When I get in the zone I tend to lose track of what I’ve done, about all I can say for sure is I used two textures from Distressed Textures, but there was a lot more that went into this one.

We were on our way to breakfast one morning on our Vermont vacation when I spotted this house. Well, pumpkin pancakes could wait, I had to stop and take a shot of this dilapidated beauty. When I sat down to process the picture all I could think of was the Move/Ray Bradbury story Something Wicked This Way Comes. So this is my tribute to Mr. Bradbury and his wonderful story.

I shot this image in Eastpoint FL on November 17, 2020. Processing was done using Photoshop. The sky was added from a picture I took last May. Texturing was done using a Flypaper Textures Oatmeal texture using a Color Burn blending mode, and a French Kiss Creme-Fraiche texture with a Multiply blending mode.
The boat is an oyster boat that was repurposed for crabbing. For most of my life the oyster industry was the primary source of income for the people of Eastpoint, but there are no more oysters to harvest. There used to be hundreds of oyster boats in Eastpoint, now there is only a few being used for other purposes.
