We’ve just got back from a short break to Bergen when the weather decides to make everyone in the UK happy and shine every day. That wasn’t the case in Bergen…

When you exit the airport terminal building you are greeted by a large neon sign mounted on the rockface opposite the terminal (I assume it is illuminated at night) exclaiming BERGEN? Almost everyone on the transfer coach was puzzled by the question mark at the end but we didn’t find out why until the next day!

The reason we went is that Jet2 appear to be trialling Bergen for a six-week period and the cost seemed very reasonable especially as they were throwing in a free full-day excursion on the Flåm Railway and the Aurlandsfjord cruise to boot. So just to kick-off a series of images from our trip here’s the first taken mid-afternoon from the top of Mount Fløyen overlooking Bergen and its outer suburbs.
