Bo-Kaap, Cape Town, South Africa
Another location from the James Gradwell photography tour. The Bo-Kaap is an area of Cape Town, formerly known as the Malay Quarter. It is a former township, situated on the slopes of Signal Hill above the city centre and is an historical centre of Cape Malay culture in Cape Town. Bo-Kaap is traditionally a multicultural area. The area is known for its brightly coloured homes and cobble stoned streets.
Here we were shooting the architecture and abstract forms of the buildings in the neighbouring streets. This is simply a candid shot while walking around the area. I've had to heavily crop it due to parked cars along the full length of the image with a bit of cloning out to boot.
