Black 5 No 44871 races along the Severn Estuary at Gatcombe, with the final day of the 2024 GB railtour from Swansea to Gloucester and then onwards back to London.
Standing on the side of the track for a hour in full blue skies, to then have the sun vanish behind a cloud for the only 20sec you needed it, so half of the train has lost the light!
Very disappointing, especially after the train had passed, it was full sun for the then rest of the afternoon.

Yesterday was Earth Day. It was wonderful to see all the posts celebrating our magnificent planet. But as we all know, the protection, preservation, and restoration of our planet require on-going stewardship. And as with all changes, every effort small or big matters. What is one thing you pledge to change for Mother Earth?
