Peppercorn 'K1' Class 2-6-0 62005 skirts the River Esk at Larpool viaduct with a crew refresher diagram, returning to Grosmont from Whitby on Tuesday 6th April 2021. The spring sunshine in this image belies the bitterly cold strong north-westerly wind for the entire day, making the selection of locations challenging. The day of photography, my first for over six months, even ended with a flurry of snow at Grosmont.
