The herons are medium- to large-sized birds with long legs and necks. They exhibit very little sexual dimorphism in size. The smallest species is usually considered the dwarf bittern, which measures 25–30 cm (10–12 in) in length, although all the species in the genus Ixobrychus are small and many broadly overlap in size. The largest species of heron is the goliath heron, which stands up to 152 cm (60 in) tall. The necks are able to kink in an S-shape, due to the modified shape of the cervical vertebrae, of which they have 20–21. The neck can retract and extend and is retracted during flight, unlike most other long-necked birds. The neck is longer in the day herons than the night herons and bitterns. The legs are long and strong and in almost every species are unfeathered from the lower part of the tibia (the exception is the zigzag heron). In flight, the legs and feet are held backwards. The feet of herons have long, thin toes, with three forward pointing ones and one pointing backwards..

Along with her sister ship the Pride of Rotterdam, at 215 metres long the Pride of Hull is among the largest ferries in Europe.
The Pride of Hull is certainly one of the biggest in terms of volume, with a gross tonnage of 59,925. But that doesn’t stop her doing a top speed of 22 knots on the Hull to Rotterdam route. The Pride of Hull and her sister ship the Pride of Rotterdam both set sail from our Hull port and arrives at our Rotterdam port within 8 hours.

With several bars, restaurants, a casino, shops, a cinema and a show lounge spread across her 12 decks, she also has room for 546 cabins, 1,360 passengers and has a lane capacity of 3,300 metres with space for 250 cars and 400 freight vehicles.
Love my old Nikon D3 its still make great pictures,

Harlech (Welsh pronunciation: [ˈharlɛχ]) is a seaside resort and community in Gwynedd, north Wales and formerly in the historic county of Merionethshire. It lies on Tremadog Bay in the Snowdonia National Park. Before 1966, it belonged to the Meirionydd District of the 1974 County of Gwynedd. Its landmark Harlech Castle was begun in 1283 by Edward I of England, captured by Owain Glyndŵr, and in the 1480s, a stronghold of Henry Tudor.Once on a seaside cliff face, it is now half a mile (800 m) inland. New housing has appeared in the low town and in the high town around the shopping street, church and castle. The two are linked by a steep road called "Twtil".[ Of its 1,447 inhabitants, 51 per cent habitually speak Welsh.[ The built-up area with Llanfair had a population of 1,762 in the 2001 census, over half of whom lacked Welsh identity,[6] and the electoral ward which includes Talsarnau 1,997 in the 2011 census. The estimate in 2019 was 1,881.[ The population of the community, which includes just the village, was 1,263 as of the 2021 census.[8][better source needed]

The station is built at the western end of the Cob, the great embankment across the Traeth Mawr, on a peninsula from Ynys Madoc constructed in 1842 to form a slate wharf and a harbour wall. It was opened for passenger service on 6 January 1865. Welsh Highland Railway trains served the station from 1923, with a short period when all passenger traffic was diverted to Portmadog New station near the crossing with the Cambrian railway, that building being long since demolished. The ill-funded WHR closed in 1936. Harbour Station was closed to passengers on 15 September 1939, although slate trains continued operating through the Second World War until 1946. The buildings continued to be in use as the principal offices of the Festiniog Railway Company and the home of Manager (Mr Robert Evans) including throughout the years of almost total closure from 1 August 1946 to 24 September 1954. The station reopened for passengers on 23 July 1955. Shot with the Nikon D3 and the Nikon 50mm 1.8D.
