Australian crake (Porzana fluminea), also known as Australian spotted crake

Larger than life is this very small but stocky crake
Its crimson red eyes rival its highlighter legs and beak
White and black specks, streaks and bars are on its brown and slate
Cocking its stumpy tail and scuttering on mud, "Chip-Chip" it does squeak
