Lors de ma dernière publication je vous ai présenté la maman de la nichée de Chouettes rayée ainsi que le dernier jeune toujours à la cavité. Voici le père qui surveillait de près un des deux jeunes déjà sortis. Un raton laveur du secteur vint près de l'arbre où se trouvait ce bébé et ouvrit mon sac à dos dans lequel se trouvait un gold bunny de Lindt pour le manger! Il n'en fallu pas plus pour que le beau papa de la nichée descende de ses hauteurs pour protéger son rejeton. Il nous a offert à ce moment une fabuleuse proximité.
In my last post, I introduced you to the mother of the Barred Owl brood and the last owlet still in the cavity. Here's the father, who was keeping a close eye on one of the two young ones that had already came out of the nest. A local raccoon came near the tree where this baby was and opened my backpack, which contained a Lindt Gold Bunny to eat it! It didn't take much for the handsome father of the brood to come down from his heights to protect his offspring. He offered us a fabulous closeness at that moment.
