This place was so special seeing the Razorbill come up to the cliff ledge we were on was a moment I will never forget. I’ll share close up shots of this bird when I’m back to Vancouver. Not looking forward to editing my photos from spending 2 days at this impressive colony. I absolutely love NFLD. I had a caribou on the drive up!

This province is amazing I’ll never tire of the friendly people the Atlantic air and seabirds and the puffins. Elliston Bird Island is special because the puffins can come over to sit with you if they so choose. Elliston's Puffin Viewing site offers the closest view of puffins, from the land, in all of North America. You need to be quiet and patient and give them space and get there early. We did and we were rewarded all I can share right now is a cell phone video that doesn’t do this special moment justice. After I went to Cape Bonavista’s Puffin Colony and that too was super special.

I had thrilling two days at the largest gannet colony in North America at Cape St Mary’s I saw over 15000 northern gannets (lifer) and 3 great cormorants (lifer) and over 10,000 common murres and 8 Thick-billed Murres I also saw a razorbill up close and on nests and several brideled murres. What was cool was I also saw a black legged kittiwake chick I’ll share some videos I haven’t edited my pics yet not looking forward to that after taking so many pics haha. Highly recommend a visit here if you get the chance I also had an endangered woodland caribou on the drive in!
