This year we unexpectedly discovered a tourist pearl in the Czech Republic. When I thought of Czech attractions before, I only thought of Prague. However, there is more. For example, the beautiful old spa town of Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad). The place is characterised by picturesque architecture and a variety of healing sources, which were already mentioned in the 14th century. We were able to spend a few nights at a reasonable price in the beautiful Savoy Hotel. The building was built in 1897 and still has a beautiful, historical flair. As a guest, one feels transported to past centuries.

The healing springs in Karlovy Vary have a long history. Drinking cures were mentioned here as early as the 14th century.
At present, 12 springs are open to the public. Each spring has a different effect due to its composition. Anyone can drink from them, preferably from a special sippy cup. However, the drinking cure should be carried out in consultation with a spa doctor.
That is why we have only tried one spring. It was warm and tasted like iron:).
