Just returned from a nice trip to California to visit family. Such a beautiful place... glad I brought my camera!

I didn't realize that a flock of birds were flying over the warf until I saw them on my computer. What a fun morning!

Thanks to jetlag, I found myself awake early earch morning in California. Rather than trying to fight it, I went out with my camera. The first morning I visited Santa Barbara, arriving about an hour before sunrise. The sunrise was nice, but I didn't expect to be shooting waves on the beach. However, the light was so good, I just had to. I also liked the slight off-shore wind creating a fine spray on top of the waves. These waves were not big - surfers woudn't give them a 2nd look. But to me, they were a thing of beauty.
