In a perfect world, it would not have been cold and rainy for my hike today. But it was beautiful all the same. This was my first visit to this part of Michigan.

My original plan was to make the 23 mile loop trail; however, the weather did not cooperate (cold and wet), so I decided on going on a day hike instead. The fall colors are just starting to show, but are still probably a few weeks from their peak.
