My yard, 2/17/15. Found this bird sleeping on the top of one of my bushes. It was the end of a snow storm and the sun was just coming out. From a distance it looked like a leaf and blended in quite well.

Riis Park, Queens 10/31/15. I photographed this goldfinch shortly after first light. There was a flock of them feeding in the scrub next to the beach. This one popped up on this grass and sat for about a minute before continuing to feed. Hope you enjoy.

Negri-Nepote Grasslands
Got lucky on this one. While I was set up and shooting some bluebirds this male goldfinch landed right next to me and posed perfectly.
