Rincón, PR. One of my favorite birds due to both their colors and whimsical mannerisms. It was good to see a number of them on my recent visit. At least in this area, they seemed to have "weathered" Hurricane Maria.

Jeffersonville, NY. I had a great time watching a pair of vireos tend to their young. They flew in everyone few minutes with various morsels--caterpillars, crickets, flies, and so forth. At first I observed only two chicks, but ultimately saw that there were four of them somehow crammed into that small nest. Fortunately, the light hit the nest every so often to allow for some photography.
