I finally managed to finish the first selection and processing of my trip to Germany in September/October. In the first place I went to visit Wolfgang, the friend with whom I traveled to Central Asia in 2019. He invited me over because he gave a presentation about our trip for the village he lives in. That presentation was planned in 2020 but COVID had messed things up.
He lives in the southern part of Germany so that was a good occasion to see something more of the country, so I visited several nice old cities like Limburg, Rothenburg, Neurenberg, went again to the German Alps to see some castles, did the Schwabian Alps, for more cities and castles and drove parts along the Rhine. In the end it was a wonderful trip with a lot of nice culture.
The picture here was taken in Bamberg, a wonderful old town, situated along the Regnitz. In the center there are several scenic bridges that cross it, and make it very picturesque.In front the Old Town Hall.

From my recent Germany trip, I spent some days in the German Alps because I wanted to see the castle of Neuschwanstein (that will come later).
But around the wonderful city of Füssen there is a lot to see, so I have enough posting material for the coming decade.
This was early in the morning, and the weather that day was wonderful.

In the middle of October, weather still was wonderful in the German Alps. 20 degrees Celsius at 2000 meters altitude, and I spent a day walking around this area in the vicinity of Oberstdorf.. This is the Seealpsee, and although many people were walking in the area around the cable lift, in this part hardly anyone could be seen.

Yesterday I got back from my trip to Cabo Verde. What a contrast with the weather I am in again, but my batteries are charged. it will take some time to look at my new pictures, but fortunately I still have many left from previous trips. This one is from my trip in October last year visiting Germany.
A very scenic place (Limburg ander Lahn) was the start of that trip, where I saw a lot of nice cities (f.i. flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/53329202239/in/dateposted/).

I haven't posted yet too many pictures of my Germany trip from last October. And because in two weeks from now I will travel to Nepal for three months I probably will forget all the nice shots I have made in Germany.
Tübingen was another German gem, and the city center is really very scenic. Enjoy!
