Last weekend splendid weather, winter and ice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It took me by surprise. If I had known, this shot would not have been made, and I had been skating, like other people. But I was with two friends who had never been to Kinderdijk ( a Unesco world heritage site) so there we went.
It is easy to see why this is world heritage (many shots on flickr), although this view is not the regular shot.
But the combination of the mills, the light from the sun, the open bridge, the reflection on the ice and the tiny particles on the ice almost make this a 3D experience. I hope you like it!

To complete my winter triplet, this shot was taken the day after Kinderdijk, and this is the moor of Kalmthout, an area on the Dutch-Belgian border. In the distance you can see skaters.

Just completed two days of intense photography, and 600 pics further! The reason is clear, finally snow on two consecutive days that drove me crazy :)! In the mornings I did the old city tour, and this shot is my favorite view of Old Utrecht with canals and in the distance the Dom tower. I used my ultrawide Sigma to catch the emerging blue sky, and keep my other shot from the day before that was done with only 17mm.
