My Swedish adventure started in Gothenburg at the 27th op April. First a few days Gothenburg, then visiting a friend and his family in Skovde, where I strolled through the hills and the forests, while later going to the Swedish west coast to see the little fisherman's villages and the rocky shores of this stunning place. This time only 1000 pics to process, so who knows I might reach the end of this year to conclude the work.

This is in the older part of Gothenburg with the Christina church, city hall and the museum at the end. Gothenburg was less old than I had expected and in some respects the city looks like Paris with the broad avenues, the green city parks and the beginning of the 20th century feel.

The west coast of Sweden, north of Gothenburg is beautiful. Rocky hills, formed by glaciers in ancient times are interspersed with villages and in every suitable spot a house has been built. The Swedish style is also wonderful to observe, the colorful houses are little gems.

This picture was stitched from 4 separate pictures into a panorama with PS. The pictures were taken during the golden hour.

It took a while to find out there were starlings nestling inside this tree! One of the pleasures of photography is to take time to find out things and see that they nestle in trees in way. I never had known that. Taken during my stay in Sweden.

A few weeks ago I was in Sweden, and I was so lucky to have nice warm weather at the beginning of spring. When I arrived the trees hardly had any leaves but 10 days later I witnessed this scene in the town of Skovde. Intense green, and trees blossoming. The colors in this picture seem like coming from a fairytale. Hope you enjoy this.

When you have the time to observe, birds get accomodated with your presence, and after a while they start to behave in their normal way. It is one of the things I like the most. So in ca. 1,5 hours I took a lot of pictures, and now the difficult task of choosing what to post. I have at least 5 that are worth showing.

I took this picture in Sweden, and have no idea if this bird also can be seen in the Netherlands
