This chamber in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam reminds me of the paintings by Vermeer. Esp. the light, and the type of windows.

Who is the subject, Rembrandt's masterpiece The Sampling Officials (Dutch: De Staalmeesters), or the jananese tourist who is looking/taking a picture? Who is looking at who?
My imagination wanders of, and I imagine going back to 1662, where on the wall of the 'Staalhof'in amsterdam there is a painting of an oriental looking man with some strange device around his shoulders. Back to the future?
