...is located in the north of Tenerife and belongs to the municipality of San Cristóbal de La Laguna.
This stretch of coast is particularly photogenic at low tide. On the one hand, the cliffs are beautifully reflected in the tidal pools, and on the other, you can watch the waves crashing against the coast in the background.
This is the third time I've been here. The first time it was too stormy and there were no reflections, the second time there was no sun...
Now I'm quite happy with the result.

View of the symphony hall. It has 1658 seats and an impressive aesthetic. It is crowned by a dome that is stylistically reminiscent of a volcanic cone and thus reflects the history of the island of Tenerife.
The ingeniously integrated organ pipes are another highlight and amaze onlookers.
In the last 20 years since its completion, the building has become an architectural landmark of the city of Santa Cruz.

Cotylorhiza tuberculata, also known as the fried egg jellyfish, is a species native to the Mediterranean that is harmless to humans. Due to the warming of the seas, this species has multiplied significantly in recent years. The jellyfish are being spotted more and more frequently off the Mediterranean coasts of the Spanish holiday islands.
They can move autonomously and independently of ocean currents.
The jellyfish's umbrella can reach a diameter of 40cm.
The animal feeds on small marine animals and algae. It lives just below the surface of the water and only lives for about six months.
The photo of this jellyfish was taken in an aquarium. The colours and contrast are particularly intense due to the dark background and artificial lighting.
However, many of the photos in my series were disturbed by reflections or motion blur.

… on the north coast of Tenerife with a view of Spain's highest mountain, Mount Teide. The typical Canarian cacti (Euphorbia canariensis) can be clearly recognised in the foreground. The view is influenced by the Calima sandstorm that prevailed at the time the photo was taken. This blows in fine desert sand from the Sahara hundreds of kilometres away, which impairs visibility and air quality and is usually accompanied by high temperatures and very dry air.
To compensate for the high contrasts between the foreground and background, three photos from an exposure series were combined for this image.

in the spectacular White Pocket area. The area resembles a science fiction-like rock world and looks particularly beautiful in the light of the rising/setting sun. Although the approach is quite bumpy and only possible with a 4x4 vehicle, it is worth every effort to get there!
