Midland Railway Johnson designed '1377' Class (1F) 0-6-0T No 41708 stands outside the roundhouse back in August 2007.

Built at Derby in 1880 this locomotive spent much of its working life in the Staveley/Barrow Hill area - it is the only survivor of its class.

The loco is now being restored back into steam.
