I've always wanted to see an Aurora Borealis, since I became aware that, many years ago (when I was 4 or 5), my father came home from his night shift, and woke my sister to see a spectular show from our home in Rogiet. Apparently I was considered too young to disturb.
Its become a bit of obsession over recent years and very much top of my bucket list. You would have thought, given the number of times we've been up to Scotland that I would have seen one by now. Anyway, last week I finally managed it. Wasn't a fantastic show by any means (although I suspect it would have been a good one without the cloud cover), but thats pretty immaterial to be honest, hopefully I'll see a better one in the future. For now, this was a magical moment for me

From our recent stay on the Isle of Mull. The cottage had spectacular views over The Burg (a mighty cliff dominating the horizon), and we found ourselves doing little else than chilling and admiring the scenery
