Red sand dunes cover the landscape in the region of Al-Ain, in the eastern region of Abu Dhabi emirate next to the border with Oman.
Al Ain is a fertile oasis city located approximately 160 kilometres east of the Abu Dhabi capital. Its name ("the spring" in Arabic) derives from its originally plentiful supply of fresh water, which makes its way underground across most of the plain lying before the Omani mountains.

You might plan it all, find a great location, figure out when it is best to be there, and get there in time. However there are always things you cant plan, such as large dust cloud from Sahara desert over half a Europe, therefore the sunset was not as dramatic as I was hoping for. Still a great location.

Khongor Sand Dunes are the largest and most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia. Also known as the ‘singing dunes’, they are up to 800 m high, 20 km wide and about 100 km long. Top of the dunes can be climbed and the views of the desert from the top are indescribable.
I was wondering around and enjoying the majestic views of dunes when my eyes spotted this beautiful play of shadow and light with blowing sand over the dunes and with sun shining through the flying sand. It is slightly different desert photo than we are used to but I am very happy with the artistic results it creates, even I've originally went there for very typical sunrise desert photos.

I wanted to take slightly different approach to this iconic Tuscany location than most people. I have seen many photos of this chapel, but none taken during the night, which was real fun to do.
The relatively unusual exposure of 180 second (3 minutes) was about right to capture enough of movement from those relatively slowly moving clouds and of course enough light in this relatively dark place. Photo, as you see it, as it came out of camera, no PP tricks as some of you have asked me.

The Petronas Twin Towers (also known as the Petronas Towers or Twin Towers), in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia were the world's tallest buildings, before being surpassed by the Taipei 101. However, the towers are still the tallest twin buildings and office building in the world. Tower 1 was built by Hazama Corporation and Tower 2 by Samsung Engineering & Construction and Kukdong Engineering & Construction (both of South Korea). They were the world's tallest buildings from 1998 to 2004 if measured from the level of the main entrance to the structural top.
