I was walking along the boardwalk next to the ocean at Pebble Beach and got inspired to shoot directly into the sun. I was surprised at how well it turned out.

You could almost imagine I was in Africa when I took this picture ;-)

I took this near Monterey CA on Christmas Eve 2011 while walking near the ocean. I love the built-in HDR mode of the Sony HX9v, it makes sunset photos turn out amazing.
