There's a gorgeous 1 k walk through redwoods up to the spring. We just happened upon this place. We'd decided to return to our B & B along the north side of the lake instead of the way we'd come. We stopped for the fishermen, and one of them told us about this beautiful walk.

Apparently redwoods grow three times faster in New Zealand than they do in California. These giants are only 90 years old. The charming Korean students had walked to the spring before and told me I had to be sure to do it.
