Victoria Hawley, of Goodwin's General Auto in Skandia. She spent many years teaching elementary school before taking a leave to help her dad out in his business. She also races snowmobiles. As you can see, she was taking no excuses from drivers who weren't moving over to get out of her way. She was picking up our Prius after a deer jumped in front of it.

Rosa Mureno was giving free manicures to senior citizens at the Berwyn Y this morning, along with her fellow students from the Capelli Academy of Cosmetology in Pilsen. She's got about 600 of her 1000 hours of training completed. I asked if she preferred doing hair or nails. She said nails because there's more room for creativity. Most people who come in for haircuts say "just a trim."
