At the end of the annual Columbus Day open house. This is about as primitive as a cabin gets. Everything was done 50 years ago with materials on-site (the peeled logs) or lugged up the hill by hand (the wood stove inside, the concrete blocks). But it was very dear to my father and hence to my mother and all the rest of us.
