This is Odin, a juvenile male wedge-tailed eagle.

At seven years of age, he still has his brown feathers. As he gets older, he will lose his brown feathers and instead have black feathers.

We met Odin and got to hold and feed him during an encounter hosted by Feathered Friends.

At around 3.4kg, his weight is very similar to that of my camera rig, which I used to capture this image.

This is Giselle, a female Eastern barn owl, with whom we had the pleasure of spending time during a wildlife encounter hosted by Feathered Friends, a wildlife sanctuary for birds.

Giselle was happy to pose on her perch in a nature reserve, and she was not afraid of the camera.
