So here we are again. Back in 2009 I started a 365 project the day after my wonderful wife gave me a D80. It was immensely challenging, often tiring, but always educational. I learned a lot about my limits as a hobby photography, but I learned more about my limits as a person. The result of that year can be found here.
That seems like ages ago though. Since then we've bought a house, had our first child and experienced multiple life changes. I often think back and wish I had a picture each day since then that I could browse through. I still remember every day I took a photo for the first project. I remember what I was doing, what led up to it and how I felt editing them. That's why I decided to do it again.
2011 was a challenging year, and if 2012 is even half as challenging then this project may be impossible, but I want to give it a shot. With all the stress & heartache the past 365 days have brought us, I still wish I had a visual documentation of it. So here it goes. My first pic is about my first love: videogames. Portal 2 to be exact. If you don't get it, there's probably no point in trying to figure it out, just enjoy this picture of a cyborg potato.

While technically not his tragus, Phin lost part of his ear 10 days ago in a tragic "love nibble" incident by another Shiba. Sometimes affection goes too far and usually you have to get married, but in this case, he had to wear the Cone of Shame for 10 days.
He just got it off today (and the sutures removed) so he hasn't fully resumed his co-pilot duties. The cone clouded his GPS (global positioning shiba) but he'll be back up in no time.
We got lost leaving the Vet. That I was trying to take a picture while driving also didn't help.

I work from home. It's a legit job: I'm an editor for a publishing company that, oddly enough, doesn't edit much anymore. Phineas is my only co-worker that I see on a regular basis. He's a hard worker but when the sun is coming through the bedroom window, he gets almost nothing done. Until Everett & Noelle come home from Day Care & Work (respectively) he's the only one I talk to.
He's a better listener than he is an employee.
