This wayward bird is now hanging out at a farm just south of St John's. It is in the company of many calling Ring-billed Gulls.

The Eurasian oystercatcher also known as the common pied oystercatcher, or just oystercatcher, is a wader in the oystercatcher bird family Haematopodidae. It has striking black and white plumage, a long straight orange-red bill, red eyes and relatively short dull pink legs.

Had a glorious day day folks and my favorite was a couple of these Meadowlarks which are not easy to photography, but got very lucky with the few I got, and once again cannot say enough the camera equipment, just love it.

Sandhill Crane

These elegant birds a well known for their dancing and courtship skills and they mate for life.
They stretch their wings, jump into the air and pump their heads like this and are very vocal. My favorite part of courtship is the stalk or pebble toss though, where one bird picks up a small stalk of plant and tosses it into the air. It is a lot of fun to watch, almost like they are playing catch.
