Danield Boone National Forest
Over the years now I have been to McCammon Falls several times. The descent down to the base of the falls has become more challenging over the years, either because I’m getting older or the excessive foot traffic and a recent washout. Myself and good friends Adam Thompson - The Serialphotog and Josh Lowe Photography stopped by while we were running around Jackson County, Kentucky last month and conditions couldn’t have been any better. For myself, having visited so many times I feel I have worn out most composition possibilities, however Adam came up with a comp that I couldn’t resist trying out for myself and I’ll share that one a little later. For tonight’s post, it is a more traditional perspective for the falls. I really liked the rock in the foreground in this shot. This will probably be my last time I visit here for a while. Maybe when I see that a long dead hemlock which disrupts the some great views of the falls finally collapses I will return to see it in a different light.
