Male Sparrowhawk carrying off the remains of a small bird it had been eating in next doors garden.
The original photo was a bit blurred with a rather cluttered background, so I chose to process it with some watercolor actions in photoshop.
I'm actually pretty happy with the final result.

Missed the full moon a few nights ago with too much cloud, tonight we had a couple of hours with a clear sky and I managed to get a few reasonably clear shots.

The Magic Telescope (Major Atmospheric Gamma Imaging Cherenkov telescope) array, located 2200 meters above sea level at the Observatory Roque de los Muchachos. It's the largest telescope in the world dedicated to 'gamma astronomy', that is devoted to the detection of gamma rays.
In its first attempt to detect a gamma-ray source, the Large-Sized Telescope prototype (LST-1 on the right in the picture) successfully detected its first gamma-ray signal on 23 November 2019 when it pointed to the Crab Nebula.

A few of what I counted to be 16 different telescopes located on the rim of Caldera de Taburiente on La Palma. The telescopes are sited at over 2,000mtrs above sea level putting them comfortably above cloud level (well, for most of the time). Known as the Roque de los Muchachos Observatory this cluster of telescopes are sited close to a spectacular viewpoint looking out over the caldera. Access is via a remarkably well maintained road that snakes it's way up the side of the volcano.
The William Herschel Telescope (large white dome on left), Carlsberg Meridian Telescope (small longish building below the WHT), Dutch Open telescope (Rounded dome on tall open metal framework), Swedish Solar tower (vertical tower), Isaac Newton Telescope (top of the dome just showing, second from right), Jacobus Kapteyn Telescope (far right)
