Wat Dhammararam is a Khmer Buddhist Temple located in the middle of rural farmland near Stockton. It was founded in 1983, made up of mostly Cambodian refugees from the Khmer Rouge regime. The temple is well known in the Stockton area for its colorful statues.
I think the statues here depict nagas, HIndu/Buddhist great snake deities. The Cambodian people were said by legend to have been created by a union between the naga princess and Kaundinya, a disciple of the Buddha, with the land of Cambodia created as a dowry. (Please correct me if I got that wrong).
