Built in the 1840s by Rafael Estrada, the "House with the Blue Door" was the home of the Soberanes family from 1860 to 1922. it was then the home of the Serranos from the 1920s and 30s. It is known for its extensive gardens, with abalone, wine bottle- and whale bone -lined sidewalks, as well as the namesake blue gate in front.
