Considering how lucky I am to have a national park not even one hour by car from where I live, I really need to go there more often. Spontaneously decided to check out the sunrise, and, gosh, did nature put on a show for me (and the fifty other photographers competing for good spots).

Shot shortly before sunrise with two stacked grad filters to mute the burning sky.

There's definitely an advantage of seeing the river valley from my bedroom window – if the first thing you see when you open your eyes is nothing, then there's fog. And as a consequence, I literally tumble out of bed, bang my toes (not always, but disturbingly often), rush to find my camera and tripod, and jog down to the river.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The morning hassle was totally worth it for this shot – the fog was slowly lifting and the sun, rising over the hills on the right, illuminated the scene beautifully. And I totally earned the hot coffee afterwards! It was cold!

Two long exposure shots, blended in Affinity Photo, to get front-to-back sharpness.

Easily the hike that impressed me most on our Norway trip: A 5km hike to the Munkebu hut along several lakes that were all feeding each other. Majestic views that take your breath away paired with muddy paths that literally take your breath away as you're jumping from dry(ish) spot to dry(ish) spot :) But those views … totally worth the exhaustion.

Panorama stitched in LR from 11 separate (handheld) exposures.

Everything seems out of touch this year: the draught that lasted all summer and the oppressive heat either prevented plants from growing, or delayed them significantly until the rains returned just recently. Now, at the end of October, this dandelion still stood strong until a wind gust blew it apart just moments after snapping this photo.

Sometimes, the most exquisite images lurk rigtht around the corner. I passed this newly dark-stained fence close to where I live and the rose bud was just peeking through between. Perfect opportunity to use my new Oly 60mm lens.
