View from a notch in one group of needles to another near Elephant Canyon in the Needles District, Canyonlands National Park. The needles are composed of 250 million year old Permian Cedar Canyon sandstone. The red and white bands mark the deposition of windblown and river borne sand deposits. On the horizon (to the north) is the Island in the Sky District, with Candlestick Tower faintly visible on the left.

Two shot stitch taken from the Chesler Park trail.
