The Žilina Region in Slovakia is a beautiful area with valleys filled with wheat and sunflower fields and dotted with pretty small towns.
Abramová is such small town located in the northern central Slovakia. Around year 1900, it had between 70 and 100 inhabitants, with the lowest state reaching during the 1980s, when it had only 29 people. Near the town there is this lovely little church and Cemetery located on a small hill around the wheat fields. In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1400.

De regio Žilina in Slowakije is een prachtig gebied met valleien vol tarwe- en zonnebloemvelden en hier en daar een klein dorp.
Abramová is zo'n klein dorp gelegen in het noordelijke gedeelte van centraal Slowakije. Rond 1900 waren er tussen de 70 en 100 inwoners met de laagste stand tijdens de jaren 1980, toen er slechts maar 29 mensen woonde. Het Katholieke kerkje van de
heilige Cosmas en Damianus en begraafplaats liggen prachtig gelegen op een heuvel rond de graanvelden van Abramová. In historische documenten wordt
Abramová voor het eerst genoemd in 1400.
