Aristocrats of the woodland garden, Hellebores are native to Europe and western Asia. They bloom in early winter in mild climates and in late winter or early spring in colder climates.

Large solar prominences were on display during totality. Incredible to capture some corona loops and prominences in my images. I wasn't expecting the prominences to be that distinct. This was taken 3 seconds before third contact. The bright light on the lower right is the sun just starting to peak past the moon's edge. Baily's Beads and then a diamond ring was visible in that spot a few seconds later.

tech details: 7 frames stacked; camera tracked using the iOptron SkyGuider Pro. The tracker and stacking worked great to make the detail of the loops visible.
