The streamlined form of the Dewoitine 338 trimotor - with retracting undercarriage - is apparent in this picture. It shows the first machine of the 338 series, F-AOZA 'Clémence Isaure' of Air France in 1936.

In the background can be seen PH-AKK a licence built Douglas DC-2 by Fokker in service with KLM.

An original postcard of a Voisin pusher biplane. This design is already far removed from the first Voisin pusher biplanes, with their kite like wings (shades of Hargrave) and their elaborate double tail (double rudder, double elevator).
The Voisin brothers at that time identified their designs just as automobiles, so this type was named the Voisin Biplan de Course 1910. Although still a pusher configuration this type has conventional wings with ailerons on the upper wing, a short open central nacelle holding the pilot and in front the elevator. There is an anti-noseover wheel fitted. The tail booms are of light construction holding a central rudder and an elevator section placed on top. Each tail boom has its own gracious tail skid to hold the machine at rest.
This card has actually been used and the writer has dated his card as October 1, 1910.
This machine was used by Florentin Champel who acquired his Aero Club de France brevet No. 94 on June 10, 1910.
