ARAWA, Papua New Guinea (June 25, 2015) An MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter attached to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 21 takes off from the Pacific Partnership 2015 landing area in Arawa, Papua New Guinea. Now in its tenth iteration, Pacific Partnership is the largest annual multilateral humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indio-Asia-Pacific region. While training for crisis conditions, Pacific Partnership missions have provided medical care to approximately 270,000 patients and veterinary services to more than 38,000 animals. Additionally, Pacific Partnership has provided critical infrastructure development to host nations through the completion of more than 180 engineering projects. INDIAN OCEAN (June 21, 2015) Sailors run after chock and chaining an MV-22 Osprey tilt rotor aircraft assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 (Reinforced) on the flight deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48). QUANTICO, Va. (June 28, 2015) U.S. Navy veteran Lt. Steven Simmons races next to an Air Force team member in the men's 200-meter dash. The Department of Defense Warrior Games is an adaptive sports competition for wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans. ATLANTIC OCEAN (June 19, 2015) Sailors engage in a simulated aircraft fire in the hangar bay of the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). Harry S. Truman is underway conducting tailored ship's training availability (TSTA) off the east coast of the United States. TSTA is the first combined training event of a ship's inter-deployment training cycle that tests and evaluates shipboard drills, including general quarters, damage control, medical and firefighting.
