The trail system running through the Dishman hills afford some of the best elevated views of Spokane valley, but the typically dry climate makes for a pretty dull and hazy view most of the year.

Spokane’s Riverfront Park has been undergoing a massive renovation over the past few years. Many of the remaining relics left over from the Expo ’74 World’s Fair have either been torn down or rebuilt with a more modern design, but some of the more iconic structures like the Pavilion have been preserved and improved. Projects like these have really helped revitalize the downtown area.

I feel like that tree sometimes -- grateful to be in such a beautiful place, but also lonely and isolated. The Palouse is one of my favorite locations in all of Washington and I hope to venture down there as often as I can this year before the weather turns cold.
