I was experimenting with 'one light' drop captures (as described by photographer Gavin Hoey). This was my favorite of the bunch.

Basic Setup:
*One speedlight pointed at the background - (which was a piece of white paper towel) set to 1/16 (speedlight on camera right resting on a vitamin bottle approx 10-12 inches from background).

*Camera at F/16, Bulb Mode

*Left hand had eye dropper with food coloring/water mixture up at arms length (plus a tippy toe stretch for more height) while the right hand took capture with remote for a one second exposure. Great way to build the deltoid muscle on the left arm as well as work on hand-eye coordination! ;)
