In the Doi Inthanon National Park in Northern Thailand, at an altitude of around 2500m, Phra Mahathat Naphamethanidon and Phra Mahathat Napha Pholphumisiri (the King's and Queen’s chedis) were built in granite by the Royal Thai Air Force together with the Thai people, and dedicated to their majesties the late King Rama IX and Queen Sirikit, to commemorate their 60th birthdays (respectively in 1989 and 1992)
