I uploaded this simply to show people that flickr is working for some people like me. This is what it looks like for: NYC, cable modem, dual core Intel processor E6550 @ 2.33 Ghz with 4 MB of L2 cache, 4 GB RAM, 64 bit Win7 Pro, on a very light Chrome browser with no add on extensions. Also, I did not change my Pro account.
That means that some of the flickr problems people are having are not inherent to the GUI necessarily but may be related to connection speeds, ISPs, caching, servers, browsers, and computers.
I hadn't visited flickr Explore today much (not much more than the first few pages of scrolling at best) so that means most of the images were being freshly downloaded for the first time. Also, this is generally the performance I have for non-Explore photos too (such as my homepage when I scroll through photos of my contacts).
Shot at roughly f/1.8, 1/60, 60 fps on tripod using an LX7.
