I had so much fun photographing this young family of raccoons in my friend’s garden a few years back. They’d been denning in an old boat nearby, and I happened upon them as the family scrambled around this tree in play. Raccoons, with their stripes and contrasts, are perfect subjects in black and white. And the tree functioned like a studio setting, with the kits seemingly comfortable enough to be themselves in front of the lens. [Photographed from a respectful distance w/tele lens]
