The Ipad and Iphone App “Kite Aerial Photography by Pierre Lesage” which was launched back in May had a very modest success… with only 74 downloads @ 2, 99 euros in 6 months and less than 60 Euros in rights !

Since it was obvious I would not make a fortune with it, I thought that I would make it available for FREE just to verify if there was a relationship between the price and the distribution; Well, there is obviously one, as in 24 hours of free download on the Itunes Store the App has been downloaded 302 times…

I did not develop an Android version right away as I was hoping the revenues of the Ipad version could finance it ! (it may take a few years !!)

I found this digital experience very interesting and came to the conclusion that for the consumer, digital = free… free books, free music, free images, free films, free video games and if I ever launch a version 1.01 of this App, it will most probably be printed !!! Hopefully the consumer’s perception for books will be different!

The coffee table book “Flying above India” by Nicolas Chorrier which is selling for roughly $ 49 on Amazon, costs 3,99 euros on the Itunes Store but Nicolas sold more books than Apps….
