A young bengal tiger giving me 'the look' (before lunch) at Shenzhen safari park, China.
Primarily found in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and Tibet, the Bengal tiger is one of the largest and the most common tiger subspecies. They live in a variety of habitats, including grasslands, subtropical and tropical rainforest's, scrub forests, wet and dry deciduous forests and mangroves.
Upto 310cm long, weighing upto 240kgs, it is estimated that there are only 4,500 of these animals left, with around 3,000 of them living in India. This was one of two young tigers, a couple of years old, looking at us (licking their teeth!) as we walked past!

A diamond is a transparent crystal of carbon atoms and are the hardest natural material known to man.
Diamonds are commonly judged by the “four Cs”: carat, clarity, color, and cut; and the name diamond is derived from the ancient Greek adamas (αδάμας; “invincible”). Roughly 49% of diamonds originate from central and southern Africa, although significant sources of the mineral have been discovered in Canada, India, Russia, Brazil, and Australia.
This is a collection of 0.02, 0.03 and 0.04 solitaires weighing in total 5.36 carats, costing just under $4,000.

Up close and personal, playing with the baby pand bears at the Woolong Nature Reserve in the Sichuarn province of China.
The Woolong Giant Panda Reserve is one of the earliest research bases established in the early 1980s by the Chinese government. In 1989 the the Ministry of Forestry of People's Republic of China and the World Wide Fund for Nature came together to form a long-term vision, Giant Panda Management Plan.
It has now been a full year since I was there, good memories!

What has to be one of the most amazing (pink, blue, green, yellow and brown) sapphire and diamond pendants I have ever come across. Each sapphire is 3-5 carat in size with 'smaller' diamonds used here, as fillers!
This piece matches this bracelet, which is in a similar style.
Traditionally sapphires have come from Sri Lanka, Madagascar and Myanmar but in recent years this has expanded to include Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Tanzania, Kenya, Australia and the US (Montana).

'Bismillah' Calligraphy on the walls of Tokyo's Turkish Mosque in the Shibuya-ku district district.
The phrase 'Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim' translates to 'In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful'. It is a common phrase used by Muslims before they do anything e.g. before eating or before driving or before starting an exam :) etc
The wisdom of using this phrase is to remind people to be conscious of God, and in doing so, refrain from acting unjustly or being ungrateful to the blessings which God Almighty has bestowed upon us all.
